Extreme Media Slant II

On Law and Order, tonight, the woman detective said, "Abortion was a crime" (in the 1960's). While it is correct that it was a crime, the implication of the past tense "was" is that it no longer is a crime. While it is true that murdering innocent people has been legal in the U.S. since 1973, it could never stop being a crime.
